Plot[edit | edit source]

In order to investigate Gozen, Team Hitotsuyanagi heads to Tokyo. As Shirai Yuyu is fighting the Huge, a girl named "L", who seems very similar to Riri, appears before her.

So that it won't place the rest of Team Hitotsuyanagi in danger, Yuyu goes on her own to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, where Gozen is. When they discover Yuyu missing, the rest of Team Hitotsuyanagi asks Hata Matsuri to help save her, and goes to Shinjuku together with reinforcements from Herensuge, Ludvico, and Odaiba, as well as an Arsenal from Ryuto—Amatsu Marei.

Riri and her friends are drawn into a battle in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. They try to use the Neunwelt Tactic to defeat a Gigant-type, but it splits into eight Large-types. Miliam, Shenlin, Tazusa, Yujia, Ran and Raimu are meanwhile in combat with Toda Kotohi, who is easily a match for all of them.

Even as they fight her, Riri and her friends become certain that Kotohi is not a bad person at heart. They talk to her, and manage to get her to abandon her mission of preventing them from rescuing Yuyu.

Riri, Fumi, Kaede, Mai, and Matsuri go in search of Yuyu. Instead, they find Gozen and L, and fight them. L is using Misuzu's Dainsleif, and her fighting style is the same. She then takes a blow to protect Yuyu, giving up her life. The shock of this unlocks Yuyu's sealed memories, and Yuyu finally remembers that Gozen is her own sister, Shirai Saaya. Yuyu is thrown into confusion by seeing her dead sister before her again, but her will to protect Riri gives her the resolve to fight Gozen.

Meanwhile, Raimu and Ran join the other Lilies fighting against the 8 large-class Huge. Together, they lure them to the same place and blow them away with a single magiesphere.

Inside the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Kotohi allies herself with Team Hitotsuyanagi. As they fight Gozen together, Riri wounds her with the Dainsleif. Coming to her senses, Gozen thrusts her own CHARM into the floor out of regret, and the building begins to collapse. Team Hitotsuyanagi retreats from the crumbling building, but Kotohi stays by Gozen's side.

With her memories of Misuzu's final moments returned to her, Yuyu decides she will stay together with Riri and Team Hitotsuyanagi and fight with them, so that she will never lose something dear to her and suffer that way again. All of Team Hitotsuyanagi now knows the importance of their bonds. One in their thoughts and feelings, they walk forward towards the blue sky.

Production[edit | edit source]

Lost Memories encountered several problems leading up to and during its theatrical run. On January 13, it was announced that someone involved with the play had tested positive for COVID. Following this, on January 17, Ishitobi Erika and Nonaka Mio (the actresses of Iijima Renka and Serizawa Chikaru) withdrew from the production due to developing fevers, and in Nonaka's case having a confirmed positive test. Ishitobi's fever was later found to be due to a thyroid condition.

The role of Chikaru was played in all performances by understudy Kosuge Rei (who has also played the role of Saeki Julia Karen in the Ludvico plays,) while Renka was played by understudy Kurushima Rio.

Following the afternoon performance on January 21, Tsumugi Risa (the actress of Ando Tazusa) began to experience severe back pain, later diagnosed as a sprained back. The evening performance on January 21 and both performances on January 22 were canceled. Tsumugi Risa was then replaced in the role of Tazusa by understudy Yashin Airi for the remainder of the run.
