GC-22 Aspid-Zmey
The GC-22 Aspid-Zmey (アスピド・ズメイ) is a fourth-generation CHARM jointly manufactured by Hihiirokane International and the Yggdrasil Corporation. It is Hasebe Touka's unique CHARM.
Description[edit | edit source]
The Aspid-Zmey is a prototype fourth-generation CHARM based on the Gram and created to test mind-coupling functionality. As a prototype, it places a lesser burden on one's spirit and nervous system than other fourth-generation CHARMs, but basically functions in the same way.
Great hopes rode upon the development of this next-gen CHARM, equipped with remote-controlled attack drones and an automated counterattack system.
As an addendum, because Touka had no difficulty using this CHARM, Mashima Moyu was permitted to build another fourth-generation CHARM called the Einherjar[1]. When Touka tested the Einherjar, it overwhelmed her spirit and placed her into a vegetative state for a time, though she later made a full recovery. She has since switched back to using the Aspid-Zmey.

- The Aspid-Zmey (literally meaning "viper-dragon") is a legendary sword from Russian mythology, mentioned in the Tale of the City of Babylon as one of Nebuchadnezzar's treasures. It could swing itself and also turn into a fire-breathing dragon.
