Imagawa Homare

Imagawa Homare (今川誉) is a Lily who attends Yurigaoka Girls' Academy. She is a member of Legion Sanngriðr. Her Schild is Seike Tomoyo.
History[edit | edit source]
Imagawa Homare has attended Yurigaoka since kindergarten. It was in these early days that she met Kondo Misaka, Kiko Totori, and Yamaguchi Chihiro. She vowed to fight with them in the future and began to train diligently so that she could. In time, because of her genius when it came to dueling with sword-shaped CHARMs, Homare was recognized as a top Lily and became known by the name of "The Sword Saint of Yurigaoka."
But Homare didn't take anything seriously aside from her own preferred style of training, and she wasn't afraid to clash with people over it. As she advanced to junior high school, she was struck from Yurigaoka's list of gifted Lilies. Homare seized the opportunity to cast aside the curriculum the Garden had designed for her and fashion an offense-oriented one of her own, focused entirely upon honing her skills with her CHARM.
Homare educated herself in a fashion far removed from other Yurigaoka Lilies. CHARM technique, speed, and raw power were the sole things she sought to improve with her course of self-study[1].
The Odaiba Counteroffensive[edit | edit source]
During the Odaiba Counteroffensive, Homare fought in the Fourth Division, where Tithia Paumgartner was in command. Homare found she got along well with Tithia, and they made an potent combination on the battlefield. "At long last, I've met a commander capable of making the most of my excellence!" she declared in glee.
One of Homare's accomplishments in the Counteroffensive was the slaughter of no less than 23 large-types. It was in part thanks to accomplishments like this that Legion Sanngriðr finally received permission to form[1].
Becoming a Schutzengel[edit | edit source]
Seike Tomoyo entered Yurigaoka during junior high school. When she did, Homare was assigned to teach Tomoyo how to be a proper Yurigaoka Lily, but instead, Tomoyo challenged Homare to a duel right then and there. Homare wiped the floor with her, teaching Tomoyo an important lesson: "There will always be someone better at using their CHARM than you."
After that, Tomoyo immediately asked Homare to take her on as a pupil. Homare at first refused to do so, but Tomoyo insisted "Even if you say no, I'll follow you anyway! So you'd better beat me into being a Lily!"
Homare reluctantly began to coach Tomoyo, but as time passed, she started to truly care for the girl. When Tomoyo entered high school, the two of them took the Schutzengel's Oath together[1].
Combat Style[edit | edit source]
Homare's fighting style is entirely her own, and is no less unique than she herself is. People say of her that "Her blade descends like a meteor" and "Her CHARM transformations are so fluid it's unbelievable."
Homare makes use of a technique called "Sternschnuppe" in which she shifts her grip on her CHARM as a way to heighten her control over it even further. Even when there's hardly enough space to do them in, she can make full-power attacks without her CHARM misfiring or her blade going awry. She also possesses an aberration known as "Perfect Instinct", with which she uses her magie to operate her mind and body in near-flawless sync with one another.
During the Neunwelt Tactic, Homare is a versatile attacker who is one of Sanngriðr's two tops, but can also fall back to the TZ when they use the Zero-Top Strategy. She'll often do things like make playful swings or taunt her opponents that get her an earful from Totori, but it seems like Homare couldn't care less about that[1].
