Imai Seira
Imai Seira (今井星蘭) is a Lily who attends Yurigaoka Girls' Academy. She is a reserve member of Legion Sanngriðr.
She is in the Arsenal faculty and is part of the Sugi class[3], and her specialty is in Magus equipment[4].
Personality[edit | edit source]
Seira was once a cheerful and talkative girl who hoped to do maintenance on her friends' CHARMs, and design new ones for them, when she became an Arsenal. Her personality changed when Yamaguchi Chihiro disappeared, and she became much less outgoing. She is now thought of as a serious person who doesn't speak much[5].
Later, Seike Tomoyo helped restore some of Seira's old personality[6].

Both of Seira's parents are CHARM developers[2], and she chose to be an Arsenal when she enrolled in Yurigaoka during kindergarten.
During elementary school, Seira held a secret admiration for Yamaguchi Chihiro, a Lily a year older than her. At first, it was difficult for Seira to approach Chihiro because Chihiro doesn't open up other than to her closest people.
But during a practice together, Chihiro finally talked about herself and the promise she had with Kondo Misaka to start a legion together. Seira praised Chihiro's fighting style and promised to build a CHARM for her.
Later, Seira heard from her friend Misora that in Yurigaoka, promise to build a CHARM from Arsenal holds a deeper meaning, and is similar to pledging the Schutzengel's Oath or becoming roommates.
Soon after, an incident happened where Chihiro disappeared while fighting against multiple small class Huge. While her body was not found, her blood-stained CHARM was recovered, so she is assumed dead.
This changed Seira from her previously cheerful personality into a girl who never smiled anymore. Seeing the gravity of the situation, Yurigaoka decided to transfer Seira into the Special Dormitory[6].
It was thanks to consultation with Nadeshiko and Chelice that Seira, who visited Chihiro's grave everyday, finally managed to return to her daily life. To forget her grief, Seira took part in the activities of the library committee, which she became an official member of upon advancing to junior high school. There, she became friends with Ushida Watsuki[7][8].
The Junior High School Student Council[edit | edit source]
As part of the library committee, Seira also did work for the student council.
Because many Sigrun came from the library committee, and the Yurigaoka Ethic Study Council also gather in the library's meeting room, naturally she also became part of the Sigrun faction.
All of this lead to the Garden requesting that she guide a new student, Seike Tomoyo, in getting used to the rules and traditions of Yurigaoka[9].
But Tomoyo, spending her childhood raised outside Yurigaoka, often broke the rules such as forgetting the bathroom schedule[10], straying outside the Garden's walls, or challenging a senior to duels. After all of these incidents, the responsibility fell of Seira to re-educate Tomoyo and clean up the resulting trouble. And although Tomoyo would fix her behavior, she soon caused another new problem.
While troubling, Tomoyo's unpredictable actions also helped Seira return to her old personality[6].
Joining Sanngriðr[edit | edit source]
Just as Seira decided she wanted to stay Tomoyo's roommate, Tomoyo told Seira about a legion that Imagawa Homare was planning to form with her friends. Remembering the conversation that she'd once had with Chihiro, Seira asked if she could join the legion before Tomoyo even had the chance to invite her to it.
"I'm going to join the legion you vowed to make, Chihiro-sama, and that's how I'll carry on your will," Seira promised as she stood before Chihiro's grave.
It was right around then that Seira awakened to her Rare Skill, Charisma. Since Charisma was an uncommon skill, the Garden told Seira "We'd like you to take to the battlefield as a Lily and a Fighting Arsenal." Seira's heart was already set on entering Sanngriðr, and this would suit the Garden's purposes as well[6].
Combat Style[edit | edit source]
Seira strikes a balance between power and technique. Using her Rare Skill, Charisma (which she later advanced to Laplace), she's attracted notice with her ability to control the Magi surrounding her.
Her fighting style resembles Misaka's. She attempts to overpower the enemy with her strength, but on top of that, her CHARM handling is excellent and she takes equal advantage of it. She isn't trying to imitate Chihiro's fighting style, but rather to prepare herself to fight by Chihiro's side when Chihiro finally returns[6].
