Irma Girls' High School for the Arts

Irma Girls' High School for the Arts (イルマ女子美術高校) is a Garden in Tokyo, Japan.

Irma uses the top legion system, and its top legion is Legion Irminshines.

Irmin-Lillian Lab

Though Irma is allied with GEHENA, their Irmin-Lillian Lab is a particularly benevolent branch which focuses on the medical treatment of Lilies suffering from the adverse effects of negative Magi. Lilies whose life or sanity were put in danger by experiments done by other factions of GEHENA, such as Kamigoori Marimo and Maruyama Amane, are often brought to the Irmin-Lillian Lab for treatment.

The Irmin-Lillian Lab also designs CHARMs such as the AC-17RE Lichtbringer and does theoretical research on technology that can help Lilies like the Valkyria Skirt Magi Reincarnation System.

Crownshine Oath

Similar to Yurigaoka, Irma has a tradition called the Crownshine Oath (冠輝(かんき)の誓い, Kanki no Chikai) where two Lilies will make a pledge of sisterhood.

To make the oath, they exchange the "Crownshine Bracelets" that they wear, and both Lilies put their bracelet on each other. These bracelets are crafted by the Lilies themselves, and are difficult enough to make that they normally require at least three people to work together on them. The design motif of the bracelets is crown shyness.

The Crownshine Oath lacks some of the "common sense" restrictions typical of other oaths of sisterhood. Most notably, there is no limit upon how many others one can take this oath with, with one former Lily known to have taken it with at least ten people. However, taking the oath with more than a few other people (one Lily who is older, one who is younger, and at most three others of the same age) is considered undignified.

School staff can enter into the oath as well.

Magnificent Four

One of the most major events in recent Irma history is the dissolution of the group known as the "Magnificent Four." The group members were (and are still) considered the finest examples of Irma Lilies, particularly because they all fought at the Odaiba Counteroffensive. The four members were: Ichinomiya Michaela Himari, Nishikawa Miharu, Hibino Waku, and Tejima Komachi. At the time, they were the prime headliners of Legion Irminshines, Irma's top legion.

The dissolution was prompted in the wake of the four girls returning from the Counteroffensive. Himari and Waku wanted to adopt the flashier, more offensively-inclined styles of Neunwelt Tactic that they'd been exposed to while fighting in the 1st Division at the Counteroffensive. Meanwhile, Miharu and Komachi wanted to continue utilizing the safer, more defensive, and more stable style that was the status quo at Irma itself.

Because Irma has only one legion, Irminshines, naturally it could not adopt both styles to the satisfaction of either side, so the argument spiraled beyond just the Magnificent Four. Eventually the entire school was split between the "Miharu Faction" (those who agreed with Miharu) and the "Himari Faction" (those who agreed with Himari). Ultimately what "settled" the argument was Himari seeing Waku and Komachi, childhood friends, distressed over the fighting. Himari left Irma altogether and transferred to Ludvico Private Girls' Seminary, where her skill and talent naturally led to her assuming command of their top legion, Temple Legion.

In the wake of Himari leaving, the Magnificent Four fell apart, and the school itself felt shaken by the events. Today, the argument over offensive play versus defensive play continues, however, which is what leads to the eventual creation of Legion Hakolberand.
