Kariya Higure

Kariya Higure (苅谷緋紅) is a second year Lily who attends Herensuge Institute for Girls. She is a member of Legion Cuélebre. She's known for outwardly acting like a gangster, with rough and aggressive posturing (and indeed has a strong inclination to take direct approaches to problems), but nevertheless being something of a big sister type underneath that.

History

Higure grew up on the streets of northeast Tokyo. She had no parents, and survived on her own inclination. Though it no longer exists today, she led a group of thieves, presumably other kids that she was helping to survive. It's assumed at some point she was picked up by GEHENA and boosted at some point around the start of middle school, and thus she became a Lily.

Due to the way she grew up, her personality is rough but caring. She's an excellent communicator and is particularly good working in team settings. Because she naturally looks out for girls younger than her, she's popular with junior Lilies, even as a member of Cuelebre.

Relationships

From Herensuge Institute for Girls:

Makino Mitake: They've known one another since middle school.
Kagawa Makina: Makina admires her, and calls her "bosslady" in the gangster sense.
Serizawa Chikaru: Higure thinks of Chikaru very highly. She always wants to eat whatever Chikaru cooks, and Chikaru often treats her to home cooked meals (since Higure eats them with such obvious relish and joy).

From Odaiba Girls' School:

Kawanabe Nazuna: Long ago, Higure gave food to Nazuna when she was on the verge of death from starvation.

Hobbies/Interests: Mountain climbing, hiking, motorcycle touring
Likes: Motorcycles, American-made cars, accessories
Favorite foods: Meat, sushi (any kind)
Favorite school subject: Math (she has very high grades in it)
Dislikes: Studying (if it's a subject she likes she'll study, but otherwise no)
Higure owns her own motorcycle, and often works on it and modifies it.
Higure's surname may be a reference to the real-world archaeologist Kariya Shunsuke.
