Kagawa Makina

From Assault Lily Wiki
(Redirected from Makina)

Kagawa Makina (賀川蒔菜) is a first year Lily who attends Herensuge Institute for Girls. She is a member of Legion Cuélebre. Among Lily Otaku at least, she's well-known for her freestyle positioning skills on the field, and her elegant CHARM handling technique. Off the field, she's known as a troublemaker who loves pranks and gaming.

Personality

[edit | edit source]

Though highly intelligent, Makina is rarely serious, and prefers to joke around or cloak what she says in layers of irony or misdirection. For example, she will proudly boast that her dream is to become rich and famous, but her reasons for it have less to do with fame and fortune and more to do with the possibility of reuniting her with her long-lost family. In a sense, she often wears a mask of frivolity while her inner thoughts are far more calculated and exact.

This can also be seen with her being a member of Cuelebre, who are viewed negatively from the outside, but are propelled forward by their internal sense of justice. Makina believes strongly in Cuelebre's goals, so much so that when it's suggested she transfer to Yurigaoka to increase her fame level, she turns the suggestion down, not wanting to abandon Cuelebre.

Makina loves pranks, and is an avid gamer. She spends nearly all of her free time playing video games.

History

[edit | edit source]

The war with the Huge caused Makina to be separated from her family at a young age. She ended up in GEHENA's custody and placed in Kuramayama Labs with other girls her age. There, she underwent boosting procedures as part of the 13 Sisters Project. She made friends with Kato Ayame and Saito Motoko there, and was particularly enamored of Ayame, who was like an older sister to her.

Out of the 200 candidates for the end goal of the project, Makina ranked 138[1]. When the experiments at the project became compulsory, the 100s-level girls were used to refine the procedures for the final experiments of the project, and Makina was one of the first they took. The procedure was immensely painful, and Makina only barely didn't succumb to the torturous side-effects of it thanks to Ayame. However, upon seeing how painful it was for Makina, Ayame suggested they, along with Motoko, escape from the lab.

Makina came up with a flawless plan that involved knowing where every camera and patrol route was. The three of them left the grounds of the lab, and were home free... except, Makina had failed to take into account Motoko's emotions over the matter. The lab researchers found them, but Ayame refused to let them capture Makina at the very least. She used her subskill, Threshold of Madness, and threw herself at the researchers, affording Makina the chance to flee. She did, promising that she would come back for Ayame and Motoko to save them.

From that incident, Makina became a Lily by joining Herensuge, and joining up with her legion Cuelebre. Though she never forgot her promise, she never found any solid leads as to where Ayame or Motoko were until it was too late (see Assault Lily: New Chapter 2 and Eternal Reminiscence).
