Takasuga Tsukushi

From Assault Lily Wiki

Takasuga Tsukushi (高須賀月詩) is a first year Lily who attends Yurigaoka Girls' Academy. She is a member of Legion Álfheimr (2nd generation) and known for her brash, brazen way of fighting which has earned her her appellation, "Wildschwein," meaning wild boar in German.

Personality

[edit | edit source]

Tsukushi's preferred method for anything, whether swinging a CHARM or living everyday life, is to simply charge straight through. A hard worker, she believes (and shows) that anything can be overcome so long as you've got guts. This relentlessness is also shown in her stubborn side, which can frustrate even the most patient of people, but she also will give straightforward and sincere apologies if she ever realizes she's in the wrong. Some might consider her a handful, but in truth most people view her favorably, which comes from being good at heart.

History

[edit | edit source]

Growing up, Tsukushi was part of a group known as "the Quintet," along with Watanabe Akane, Kanabako Misora, Egawa Kusumi, and Tanaka Ichi. They were all good friends, but despite Tsukushi's loud and proud demeanor, the ones she was closest to were the big sisterly Akane, and perhaps surprisingly, the quiet and reserved Kusumi. Indeed, Kusumi's hair ornament was a present from Tsukushi. They were close enough that Kusumi would in fact quip and even tease Tsukushi about her many blunders.

However, when a certain incident made Ichi and Kusumi have a falling out, Tsukushi ended up taking Ichi's side. Seeing Kusumi so down and isolated from everyone however, Tsukushi started to think that perhaps she was in the wrong, but she wasn't able to figure out how to approach Kusumi. In the end, Akane had to take Ichi and Tsukushi aside in order to talk to them, and Misora reached out to Kusumi to encourage her to talk, too. In the end, the Quintet made up and went on to form the Ichi Reserve Team, which later evolved into the second Alfheimr.

However, despite making up with Kusumi, Tsukushi suffered from intense self-doubt. She felt like if she'd been more careful, less stubborn, she might not have hurt Kusumi. Growing deeply depressed to the point of being sure that her friends in fact hated how reckless she was, it was then that Akane asked her to take the Schutzengel's Oath with her, instantly proving her wrong. She responded to Akane's offer by bursting into tears (then saying yes).

Combat Style

[edit | edit source]

Despite her preference for charging straight into the front line of battle to engage in one-on-one dueling with Huge, Tsukushi actually utilizes a balanced offense-defense Circlet Bless style similar to that used by Fukuyama Jeanne Sachie and Rokkaku Shiori. Where she differs is the headlong charging, very befitting of her nickname.

Tsukushi's offensive CHARM, the Precieuse, is a unique model developed by Grand Guignol with the aim to make B-type armaments more user-friendly. Tsukushi's friend and roommate, Sambuichi Chigusa, is an Arsenal who assists with testing and working with the manufacturer. Chigusa's own research area is in the purification of negative magie, and she helps tune Tsukushi's CHARM to try and mitigate the downsides of B-type armaments (such as buildup of negative magie and the weakening of defensive fields) while sacrificing none of the explosive power that they're capable of. Because of this tuning, were anyone else to use Precieuse, it would cause them to immediately get sick with negative magie, so the CHARM is locked with a voice print analysis that only Tsukushi can undo. Meanwhile, Tsukushi's Charlemagne is a more standard model, with the defensive barrier tweaked to be expanded.
