Gozen (御前) is a Lily not affiliated with a Garden. She is the main antagonist of The Fateful Gift and Lost Memories.

Personality

Gozen is a very manipulative and cunning person. She often causes Yuyu's mental state to deteriorate in order to fit her plans. Gozen also has a lack of empathy, causing pain to other Lilies as well.

However, in truth her morally wrong actions are because of her Huge cells corrupting her mind after she was revived as a Boosted Lily. The real Shirai Saaya is actually a kindhearted and talented person who cares a lot for her sister, even willing to sacrifice herself to save her. At the end of Lost Memories, this personality finally resurfaces after her fight against Team Hitotsuyanagi.

History

Saaya attended Yurigaoka, where she was beloved by all due to her refined and gentle personality, as well as her splendor upon the battlefield. She was Ortlinde in her second year and Sigrún in her third year. Saaya was also one of the first Lilies to awaken the rare skill Testament. Yurigaoka's staff had plans to take Saaya on as an instructor, but shortly before she would have graduated, she died in battle.

After her death, GEHENA experimented on her corpse, reviving her as a Boosted Lily and naming her Gozen.

The Fateful Gift

Gozen makes her debut in The Fateful Gift as its main antagonist.

Combat Style

Gozen's combat style is that of the Duelist generation.

Gozen is notably one of the strongest Lilies depicted in the stage plays. She is able to fight and incapacitate all nine members of Team Hitotsuyanagi multiple times without getting harmed. Gozen also possesses the Boosted Skill Regenerator which gives her a healing factor in case she does get hurt.

Family

The Shirai are a prestigious family whose name is synonymous with resistance against the Huge, both in Kamakura Prefecture and elsewhere in the world. Many Lilies, Arsenals, military officers, and researchers bear the Shirai name.

Saaya's sister, Shirai Yuyu (白井夢結), is a talented Lily who also attends Yurigaoka. She is currently the vice captain of Legion Ráðgríðr and has participated in the Odaiba Counteroffensive as well.

Saaya's father, Shirai Akito (白井暁翔), is the head of the extended Shirai family. He is the chairman of the Shirai Construction Group, the industry leader in building Gardens and other anti-Huge fortifications (they do not construct civilian buildings.)

Saaya's mother, Shirai Aya (白井朱結), was once a talented Lily. She attended Yurigaoka during her active years, where she was elected as Brynhildr. She is known for her gentle demeanor.
