Miyairi Fubuki

From Assault Lily Wiki

Miyairi Fubuki (宮入風舞姫) is a third year Lily who attends Ryuto Girls' Academy. She is a member of the SS-ranked Legion Blóðughadda, called "Niigata's Strongest Legion," and also serves as its captain. Fubuki is sometimes called the "second coming of Akutsu Magdalena Maaya" due to her having S-classed Heaven's Measure and fighting on the front lines with it.

History

[edit | edit source]

One year ago in 2051 A.D., one of the Seven Great Ultras, Fafnir, invaded Niigata Prefecture by settling on Sado Island. Prior to that however, there were a significant amount of Huge Nests scatted throughout the Sanjo and Nagaoka areas of Niigata. Though small, they were dangerous due to the amount of irregular Small- and Mid-type Huge that infested them. Moreover, there were over 30 of them, and the number of both Nests and Huge only continued to grow. Rumors circulated that the Huge were GEHENA experiments that had escaped from the large facility on Sado Island, but nothing was ever proven.

Regardless, despite being small, their number and composition made them a threat that couldn't be ignored. Not only for the damage they were causing to the surrounding areas, but because if left unchecked, it would've likely only led to seeing irregular Large-types, and even irregular Gigant-types. Lastly, the Nests formed a belt that divided Niigata Prefecture into north and south, which was a major issue for Ryuto's defense strategy.

This was the situation that Fubuki faced when she entered her first year of high school at Ryuto. Due to her amazing dueling skill, she was picked up immediately as the vice captain for Legion Blodhughadda, and wasted no time in proposing a strategy to conquer all Nests within Niigata. With Fubuki leading the charge, Blodhughadda could wipe out multiple Nests within a single day, and in just over a month, they'd cleared all thirty Nests. This series of battles earned both Blodhughadda and Fubuki herself great esteem, paving the way for them to be called "Niigata's Strongest."

Meeting Wakana at Nozori Lake

[edit | edit source]

At one point, Blodhughadda was deployed on expedition to assist in putting down the Nozori Lake Nest, a massive Nest located in northern Gunma Prefecture. There, Fubuki met Maki Wakana, who had come from Yurigaoka to assist with the expedition. The two hit it off so well that they're famously credited for defeating fully half of the Huge present at the battle, including the Gigant Nest guardian, with just the two of them. With Fubuki's extreme frontline combat capabilities and Wakana's strategic knowledge she uses to orchestrate battles, the two had an absurdly high degree of compatibility.

"I've never before fought alongside a Lily who was so easy to work with," Fubuki said of Wakana, and mentioned she wanted to fight alongside her again in the future. Fortunately, the two have met on battlefields often, and maintain a long-distance friendship between fights, as well.

On Fafnir's Invasion

[edit | edit source]

Fafnir appeared suddenly over Sado Island, settling directly on the area where the GEHENA research lab had been. It then took up a posture associated with "nestless" Ultras, preparing to set up its Nest on the island. Despair settled across the local populace, as well as to the Lilies themselves. Undaunted, however, Fubuki took Blodhughadda to the coastline to stand beside Legion Hefring, captained and commanded by Yoshihara Nanoha, Fubuki's sworn sister with whom she had taken the Gullinkambi Pact. Despite the crisis, the two legions held against the Huge invading the mainland under Fafnir's guidance, letting not a single one land upon the shores.

Witnessing Fubuki fighting like a demon to protect the shore, Ryuto's other Lilies rallied. Though Sado Island fell, Fafnir's forces were stopped from spreading to the Prefecture as a whole. From that point on, all defense operations against the irregular Huge spawning from Fafnir's Nest (assessed as an S-rank threat) involved Blodhughadda and Hefring.

Despite holding strong for nearly a year, however, they made little progress in reversing their situation. Then the inevitable happened when Fubuki was gravely injured. Her legion couldn't hold together without her, and disbanded. Ryuto then faced its darkest hour. The events of that story can be found in Assault Lily Glory.

Combat Style

[edit | edit source]

Like most current third year Lilies, Fubuki excels in dueling—that is, individual one-on-one combat prowess. With a high magie capacity and Skiller Value, Fubuki is a no-frills powerhouse who mainlines in the AZ. Given her rare skill, Heaven's Measure, this is unusual, but Fubuki has mastered the skill to S-class, granting her access to "Dead Eye Motion." This fixed skill allows one to view the world as if moving in slow-motion, while their own cognitive processing speed doubles, allowing them to make full use of the enhanced time experienced.

Fubuki's CHARM handling prioritizes precision. She isn't flashy and doesn't showboat. Instead, her CHARM goes exactly where she intends it to with unerring grace. Meanwhile, with her overwhelming emphasis on her personal abilities, she struggles more than most third years in adapting to the Neunwelt Tactic. Far from useless however, Fubuki can executing passing plays and also support her allies in combat. She usually handles all finish shots for her legion, and has over a 90% hit rate with them.

Undoubtedly, Fubuki is the ace of her legion as well as its spiritual pillar, shown most in her overwhelming presence.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • Hobbies/Interests: Swimming
  • Likes: Fresh fish, shellfish, rice
  • Dislikes: Spicy foods
  • Fubuki was previously Ryuto's student council president.
  • Though her fighting ability might give one the impression she acts like a daredevil or meathead, she's actually a highly competent strategist and leader, so more like a warlord. This is why Blodhughadda fell apart nearly instantly after she was injured.[2]
