The Gungnir is a second-generation CHARM manufactured by the Yggdrasil Corporation.

Description

A 2nd-generation CHARM developed by Yggdrasil Corporation, specializes in mid-to-long range combat with exceptional versatility.

"Shooting Mode" includes multiple firing options, such as a laser machine gun, making it a somewhat technical CHARM suited for battles decided by the frequency of attacks. On the other hand, it features a user friendly design suitable for beginners, while still maintaining high potential. It is also notable for its ability to rapidly transform into “Blade Mode.”

The name “Gungnir” refers to the spear wielded by Odin, the chief god in Norse mythology.

Trivia

• The Gungnir is named after the spear of the Norse god Odin.
• In early design sketches, the Gungnir is referred to as the "Imouto-chan (Little Sister) Weapon."
• There is another early design sketch which depicts a modified Gungnir with a Gatling gun-like barrel. This is referred to on the sketch as the "Sagami Girls' version" of the CHARM. It has never been mentioned in stories or official material since, and is probably not canon.
