Hidai Miyazu

Hidai Miyazu (比田井美夜受) is a Lily who attends Irma. She is a member of Legion Irminshines.

Personality

Miyazu's lovely appearance belies her toxic attitude. A girl of little words, what she utters are sharp and scalding remarks that betrays her tough spirit. As such, she treats her junior harshly, and is much-feared.

Outside of a select few Lilies such as Nishikawa Miharu and Yoshii Kasumiko, Miyazu keeps a cold and hostile attitude, and is especially harsh on her juniors, frequently warning them "keep on that disrespectful attitude and I'll smash your fucking face." However, with her time spent in Irminshines, she gradually learned the importance of the comrades around her.

History

Born and raised as a local of the Kiyosumi-Shirakawa area, Miyazu was sold off by her parents to GEHENA at a young age in order to deal with the massive debts they had accumulated. Having gone through insufferable experiments, she was transferred to the Irmin Lillan Lab, Irma's associated GEHENA lab, in critical conditions.

Because of this background, Miyazu was strongly distrustful of anyone and everyone around her during her first year of junior high school, when she was adopted by Irma. It was Nishikawa Miharu who approached her to help her ease her into the school environment. At first Miyazu stubbornly paid her no heed, to which she simply stuck by the Boosted Lily's side silently (such as during training), and gradually closed the gap between them. Eventually, Miyazu opened up to Miharu, and started to rely on her during times of distress caused by the side effects of the experiments she had gone through

In order to recuperate from the side effects of the experiments she had gone through, Miyazu did not participate in the Odaiba Counteroffensive. However, she made her name known to the world with the gorgeous combat and the radiant exploits she achieved during the Makuhari Recapture.

Combat Style

As a Testament user of the evasion-focus type, she is often compared to Kawamura Yuzuriha. Miyazu herself regards the Saints' Jewel highly, stating "In terms of the evasive Testament style, I'm absolutely no match for Yuzuriha. As I have Regenerator to fall back onto, my capability [in evasion] is of course levels below that of her."

From Irma Girls' High School for the Arts:

• Nishikawa Miharu: Friend. Miyazu calls her "Miharu" in a very gentle tone of voice. When Miyazu's not by herself, she's usually together with Miharu, and they often go out to eat together
• Yoshii Kasumiko: Following the Makuhari Recapture, Miyazu often spends time with her and will go out to eat with her
• Hibino Waku: Miyazu says of Waku, "Nobody can move like she can", and they make a great combo on the battlefield. However, Miyazu purposely keeps her distance from Waku and the two aren't close
• Iwaya Kukuri: They have a similar tactical mindset and get along reasonably well
• Tsuzuki Hisui: Unfriendly. They'll often make sarcastic remarks about each other

• Ishizuka Fujino: Miyazu acknowledges her prowess as a Lily, but has warned Kasumiko against getting close to her, calling her "some kind of monster"

Trivia

• Favorite foods: Japanese sweets filled with bean paste
• Likes: Cats (Maine Coons are her favorite, but she likes them all) and the kotatsu
• Miyazu is nicknamed "The Black Fairy" from her choice of dark clothes, her lovely appearance, and the scalding attitude she holds towards almost everyone else.
  • Because of her outward similarity to Egawa Kusumi, she is often also referred to as "Black Kusumi" in derision, to which she pays no heed. "I'll take that as a compliment, ufufu" is her typical reaction to hearing it.
• Her arts course, as required of all Irma students, is music; she specializes in playing the piano and singing. As such, she is well known for her beautiful crystal-clear voice.
