Weave Syntax

From Assault Lily Wiki

Weave Syntax is a Boosted Skill. It enables the "stacking" of offensive and defensive abilities of other rare skills, allowing for a multiplicative effect. One example is with the rare skill Regista. A "Double Regista" already offers its own benefits in strengthening magiesphere protection shields and passing route awareness, but Regista's effect of boosting CHARM output is not affected by the doubling. Were Weave Syntax to be used, they would be able to double that effect as well, however.[1]

Translation Note

[edit | edit source]

A translation note from the "Assault Lily Setting Materials featuring the Flowers of the End" translation states the following:

Weave Syntax in the Japanese is 連続強化補助 (renzoku kyouka hojuu) which gives it a very utilitarian sounding name. Dictionary translation would have it come out to something like "Serial Strengthening Support," and we felt this was out of place among the other skill names, and moreover, was long and cumbersome.

The skill itself allows for the offense and defense enhancing effects of rare skills and subskills to be "stacked" together. For example, Regista enhances the output of CHARMs, and this could be stacked with this Boosted Skill, doubling its effect. "Weave" is used in the sense of "weaving together" skills, and "Syntax" is used in the sense of "providing the structure for it to be done."

A: "Yes, that's correct!" Translated by Kohana
