Rokkaku Shiori (六角汐里) is a first year Lily who attends Yurigaoka Girls' Academy. She is the vice-captain of Legion Reginleif. Shiori has a complicated history that involves her starting at Yurigaoka, then moving to Koshu where she would attend Kaiseizan. After the Koshu Withdrawl however, she would be forced to move back to Yurigaoka, and not under pleasant circumstances.

History

Shiori originally entered Yurigaoka Girls' Academy in kindergarten. Even from this early period, Shiori possessed a mentality that showed she was devoted to fighting for her friends, no matter what it took. Many thought she'd grow into a new kind of AZ Lily for Yurigaoka.

When Shiori entered elementary school however, fate intervened when it was all but confirmed that Shiori's younger sister Rokkaku Sena would awaken to the Testament rare skill. At the time, Testament-awakened had an extremely high mortality rate, and not even Yurigaoka had developed a curriculum for counteracting that. It was decided Sena would be enrolled in Kaiseizan Girls' High School, which had a reputation for educating Testament-awakened. However, Sena loved her big sister too much and insisted the whole family move to Koshu together, and Shiori couldn't find it in her to refuse.

Kaiseizan specializes in both Testament and also Heliosphere, which is to say that it has very little knowledge when it comes to other rare skills. Shiori struggled to fit in at the school, until she met Yumeno Kanon. The two grew to be close, and even swore an oath to fight together some day. Eventually, the Rokkaku household settled into a peaceful life.

However, when the Koshu Withdrawal occurred two years ago, the Rokkaku family was not spared from the tragedy. Shiori and Sena, both young Lilies, took their training CHARMs in hand and attempted to repel the Huge, but their mother and father were killed right in front of their eyes. Shiori continued to fight, but then herself sustained a major injury to her left arm which caused her to pass out. In order to protect her, Sena threw herself in front of a Huge attack meant to kill Shiori. When Shiori regained consciousness, she heard Sena's final words before her younger sister succumbed to her wounds: "Shiori... live."

Though filled with grief at the loss of her whole family, Shiori took these words to heart, and redoubled her zeal to fight as a Lily. However, being left-handed, the injury to her left hand made that determination hard to fulfill. It became worse when, during rehabilitation, she further injured her hand, both losing mobility in it and also having difficulty channeling magie through it. Though callous, after some time, Kaiseizan faculty ruled her as unfit to be a Lily.

Unable to avenge her family and losing her reason for being, Shiori fell into despair. It was only her friend Kanon who saved her, by encouraging her to transfer back to Yurigaoka. Yoshizaka Nagisa, an instructor at Yurigaoka, not only pushed for her to be taken back, but also adopted Shiori as her daughter. Though still plagued by her inability to hold a CHARM, Shiori was taken back by her home Garden, and found some degree of warmth there. This occurred around when she was moving on to middle school.

At Yurigaoka, Shiori regained her strength little by little, though was still troubled on how to fight. Time-wise, it was likely during her last year of middle school that Taniguchi Hijiri would introduce Shiori to Fukuyama Jeanne Sachie, another Circlet Bless awakened. Where many Circlet Bless users focus on full offense, Sachie adhered to a style of fighting that balanced offense and defense. Shiori took to this teaching well. By present day, Shiori is not only vice captain of a legion she helped form, but also one of Yurigaoka's strongest individual fighters.

Combat Style

Shiori has a straightforward style: wield the heavy offensive Tyrfang CHARM in her right hand, and the smaller defensive Charlemagne CHARM in her left. Because her right hand is her "off-hand," yet is the heavier offense CHARM, she focuses on being defensive and creating openings with her left, then swinging with the right with all of her strength. It's notable that she utilizes her Charlemagne more like a shield than how Sachie uses it, which is for parrying; likely this is due to her lack of mobility in her left hand, making her unable to perform delicate or complex motions.

This style of fighting has a tendency to break her CHARMs often. Swinging her Tyrfing like a club puts a lot of stress on it, and using her Charlemagne like a shield means it gets beaten up roughly. She's said to have a nearly 100% rate of breaking her CHARMs each time she deploys in the field.

• Dislikes: Thunder, heat, dentists, static electricity (she has dry skin, which makes it easier for it to happen), rain
• In Assault Lily: Last Bullet, Shiori mentions that on Valentine's Day she made chocolate by hand with the help of Diana Koolhaas and gave it to her Schutzengel, Hijiri.
• Obanazawa Kenei originally created Shiori in 2005 for a fantasy story unrelated to Assault Lily. He later changed her name and brought her into the Assault Lily setting.
• Shiori is proficient in the "Sternschnuppe" technique, pioneered by Inaba Mayumi, which emphasizes full control over one's CHARM by changing how one grips it.
• She also knows how to make the most of magie crystal overdrive techniques.
