Igusa Subaru
Igusa Subaru (井草昴) is a Lily who attends Odaiba Girls' School. She is the commander of Legion Hronesnæsse.

History[edit | edit source]
During elementary school, Subaru lost her family to a Huge attack. After this, she vowed to dedicate her life to exterminating the Huge. However, her Skiller Value at the time was below 10, making it difficult for her to become a Lily. Despite this, she insisted on fighting and enrolled in the Odaiba Girls' School Madec Academy, a subsidiary organization that trains Madecs to support Lilies.
One day, Akira Blanton, an instructor from Odaiba, visited the academy for an inspection. Akira recognized Subaru's potential and recommended her for admission to Odaiba Girls' School. Upon entering junior high school, Subaru transferred to Odaiba Girls' School.
After transferring, Subaru's combat ability remained low by the standards of Odaiba, but she soon demonstrated her innate leadership, significantly increasing her Magi reserves and gradually mastering an aggressive fighting style[1].
The Junior High School Student Council[edit | edit source]
In Subaru's third year of Junior High School, she formed the Funada Reserve Team alongside her close friends, the Funada sisters, Fujita Asagao, and Kawamura Yuzuriha.
At around this time, Funada Kiito became the student council president, and she played a crucial role in shaping its tactical and ideological framework. Later, Kiito was pressured into resigning due to the "ability-based training" policy, which was originally based on a self-training program designed by Subaru. When Kiito left on a study tour, Subaru swore to fight alongside her upon her return.
She then remained on the student council supported Asagao, who temporarily assumed the presidency. This was why Subaru joined Legion Hronesnæsse alongside Asagao when it was formed[1].
The Odaiba Counteroffensive[edit | edit source]
During Subaru's first year of high school, she participated in the Odaiba Counteroffensive.
After the Funada sisters' departure, Subaru became the captain of the Odaiba Wall Defense Team, which she sought to make into her ideal legion. At the time, Odaiba operated under a top legion system and restricted Lilies from freely forming teams. However, since the Defense Team was responsible for the inland Magi barriers, it allowed her to recruit fixed members.
However, prioritizing the defense of the Light Wall meant that Subaru couldn't participate in the major battles, only taking part in the extermination of a single irregular gigant-type Huge that the Fourth Division had missed. This left her and her team feeling unfulfilled, with lingering regrets. In the shadow of a glorious victory, she had failed to claim any of that glory for herself[1].
Joining Hronesnæsse[edit | edit source]
Subaru was one of the few to welcome the Funada sisters back from their study trip. The sisters announced the formation of Legion Hronesnæsse and recruited members, but Subaru did not immediately respond. She knew that the combination of Kiito, Ui, and Asagao was an ideal one but also foresaw potential issues.
Later, Asagao persuaded Subaru to join Hronesnæsse. However, Kiito saw Subaru as having taken Asagao's side, causing discord within the legion. Eventually, Subaru repaired her relationship with Kiito and convinced everyone that factional strife was meaningless, ultimately uniting Hronesnæsse as one[1].

Combat Style[edit | edit source]
Ever since her time in the Funada Reserve Team, Subaru has been known for her bravery. With her high Magi output, she excels in full-fledged duels, using her CHARM as a shield and closing the distance to engage enemies directly.
Subaru prefers an all-out offensive style, fighting like a duelist from the duel generation. Her mastery of CHARM mode-switching and handling is exceptional, with precise execution and minimal mistakes.
Her tactical understanding and versatility are unmatched within the team, earning her everyone's respect. Additionally, she is a Lily Otaku, often engaging in lengthy discussions on the topic with her vast knowledge[1].
