Natsume Elizabeth Ema

Natsume Elizabeth Ema (夏目・エリザベス・恵真) is a first-year Lily who attends Ludvico Private Girls' Academy. She is often together with Saeki Julia Karen, Hasegawa Gabriella Tsugumi and Suzushiro Catarina Miyabi.

Schwester's Prayer (Original Ver.)

Ema, together with Karen, Tsugumi and Miyabi, join Kishimoto Lucia Raimu and Amamiya Sophia Seren in their Class B, with the group in awe of Seren for having passed the entrance exams at the top of their class. Later, during the first-years' first training session, Ema, Miyabi, Seren and Moe are supervised by Ichinomiya Michaela Himari and Sano Matilda Kokoro.

During Ludvico's Easter Festival, Ema joins her classmates in egg hunting, though only finding eggs left by the Instructor Kosaka Anastasia Ryoko. Following the appearance of a Cave, Ema, Miyabi, Karen and Tsugumi are invited by Ryoko to join her Cheering Squad, being followed by Hanaoka Angela Moe and Nagase Marta Nonoka.

After Raimu reveals to her classmates that she had taken the Schwester's Oath with Fukuyama Jeanne Sachie, Ema and the other first years congratulate her. As Raimu had previously been chosen to integrate Ludvico's Top Legion, the Temple Legion, Ema, Karen and Tsugumi excitedly muse about joining it as well one day. The Cave alarm goes off, and Karen urges her fellow first years to deploy for battle.

Behind the Scenes

Ema appears exclusively in the 2016 version of Schwester's Prayer, and notoriously has the fewest lines of all Class B Lilies, essentially serving as a background character. Ema is subsequently absent from the play's sequel, Schwester's Secret, while in the recap performance Schwester's Oath, she is replaced by the Lily Yamabuki Elizabeth Keito. Unlike Miyabi, who was eventually permanently replaced by Haneda Catalina Mei in the White Resistance duology and later, in the revival versions of the Ludvico stage plays, Ema and Keito were instead removed completely from the series from ~The Promise's Path~ onwards.

Trivia

Ema's confirmation name, "Elizabeth", could be in reference to one of several Catholic Saints who take the name of "Saint Elizabeth", the most notorious among them being Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist.
- Ema shares her confirmation name with Nishina Elizabeth Otoha, who replaces Nonoka in the original version of Schwester's Secret.
