Nagase Marta Nonoka

Nagase Marta Nonoka (永瀬・マルタ・のの花) is a first-year Lily who attends Ludvico Private Girls' Academy. She is a recurring character in the Ludvico series of stage plays, often appearing together with Narumi Clara Yuko and Hanaoka Angela Moe.

Personality

Much like Clara and Moe, Nonoka is very girly, often to an even more exaggerated extent than the other two. She is notorious for speaking very loudly at times, a trait that earned her the attention of the equally eccentric Instructor Kosaka Anastasia Ryoko. Nonoka greatly values beauty, and believes that a Lily should strive to maintain a graceful form at all times. Because of this, Nonoka will often strike awkward, exaggerated poses during training, preventing her from learning proper combat technique. On more than one occasion, Nonoka has forgotten her CHARM entirely when deployed into battle, choosing to very dramatically face her death instead of fleeing to safety.

Nonoka enjoys watching her seniors in combat, and is said to have the makings of a Lily aficionado like Toki Kureha and Matsunaga Brigitta Kayo. She is prone to misunderstanding things, and will frequently trail off on a topic by herself. Like Moe, she hopes that Clara and Amamiya Sophia Seren one day become a couple.

Schwester's Prayer

Nonoka, together with Clara and Moe, joined Kishimoto Lucia Raimu and Amamiya Sophia Seren in Class B, explaining to the clueless Raimu the workings of the Schwester System with Moe. During the first years' first training session, she was under Seto Veronica Ichika's supervision, who continuously attempted to correct her impractical fighting form.

During Ludvico's Easter Festival, Nonoka joined her fellow first years in egg hunting, though only finding eggs left by Instructor Ryoko. Following the appearance of a Cave at Ludvico's cemetery, Maria's Hill, Nonoka and Moe commemorate Clara and Seren being chosen to integrate the Temple Legion together. Nonoka and Moe, as well as Hojo Monica Asahi and Hasegawa Gabriella Tsugumi, would later join Ryoko's Cheering Squad, with Nonoka particularly excited at the opportunity of watching her seniors in action from up close.

Schwester's Secret

Nonoka was present with her fellow first years when Clara challenges Asahi for a duel, warning her friend that fighting amongst students was punishable by detention. Nonoka and Moe would later tell Clara's Schwester, Ichinomiya Michaela Himari, of the pair's duel as it started.

After Tsugumi is chosen to integrate the Temple Legion for the second time, Nonoka attempts to encourage her, loudly urging her to "fight beautifully", prompting Moe to tell her to be quiet. Nonoka and Moe then join Haneda Catalina Mei and Saeki Julia Karen in cheering for Tsugumi, with Karen remarking that she is uncomfortable with being called by her baptismal name by Nonoka, who takes to calling her by her first name from thereafter.

White Resistance ~The Promise's Path~

Nonoka briefly joins Raimu in training under Fukuyama Jeanne Sachie, with the second year Lily reprimanding both of them for failing to fight properly, particularly. Together with the other first years, Nonoka is saddened by her poor performance, exacerbated by Asahi's mocking words. On Tsugumi's encouragement, Nonoka and the other first years agree to practice by themselves after classes.

After Sachie declares her intentions to form her own Legion, Seren and Raimu attempt to invite the other first years. Nonoka is the only one not directly invited, however, leaving her confused.

Following the appearance of a Cave, Nonoka is surrounded by multiple Huge. Without her CHARM in hands, Nonoka delivers a lengthy monologue, lamenting that her life is about to end, before she is saved by Instructor Ryoko, who, impressed by her loud voice, once again has Nonoka join her Cheering Squad.

In the aftermath of the battle, Nonoka tries to comfort Moe after she failed to handle the Magisphere during her first Neunwelt Tactic. After Clara declares that she'll personally train Moe, Nonoka wonders if Moe will be alright, noticing her struggle to carry Clara's weighted stuffed bear, Kumama.

White Resistance ~The Blade of Truth~

After Mei awakens to the Rare Skill Zenon Paradoxa, Nonoka and Karen lament being the only ones in their group yet to awaken their Rare Skills. Asahi then invites Nonoka to join her in training with Tachibana Theresia Nagisa.

Nonoka once again finds herself surrounded by Huge without her CHARM in hands, prompting her to once again deliver a dramatic monologue before being saved by Izumi Rosa Rina, who urges her to flee to safety. As Rina had been blamed for the murder of Kaido Beatrice Chiharu, Nonoka resumes her monologue, believing the Instructor is there to kill her. This leads her to once again be surrounded by Huge, being saved a second time by Ryoko. Moving to what would be her final battle, Ryoko entrusts Nonoka with carrying on the legacy of her Cheering Squad.

Trivia

• Nonoka's baptismal name, "Marta", could be in reference to Martha of Bethany, the sister of Lazarus, who was famously resurrected by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke.
• In the original version of Schwester's Prayer, Nonoka's hairstyle resembled the one now adopted by Moe, with two pink ribbons holding some of her side bangs in small twintails. Likewise, Nonoka's character in her original appearance was much more similar to Moe's. Nonoka's current design and personality are directly taken from Nishina Elizabeth Otoha, who replaced her in the original Schwester's Secret, with the current version of Nonoka first appearing in the recap performance Schwester's Oath.
• Nonoka's hobbies include collecting beauty products and nail styling.
• Nonoka's favorite food are mille crepes.
