Mashima Moyu

Mashima Moyu (真島百由) is a Lily who attends Yurigaoka Girls' Academy. She is a member of Legion Sanngriðr. Her Schild is Miliam Hildegard von Guropius.

History

Moyu has been at Yurigaoka since kindergarten. She showed high adaptability as a Lily from an early age and the Garden had high expectations of her. Her combat performance in junior high school was excellent, and Yurigaoka encouraged her to continue into the Lily Department, but she chose the Arsenal Department instead.

"I came to Yurigaoka to become an Arsenal. While I may take on the role of a Lily occasionally, at my core, I want to be an Arsenal." This was her declaration during her interview to advance to high school. Her decision significantly raised the stature of the Arsenal Department, which was previously seen as a fallback option for those who could not advance to the Lily Department.

Within the Arsenal Department, Moyu is highly respected, and many look up to her. However, across Yurigaoka Girls' Academy as a whole, many people have a negative opinion and call her things such as "mad scientist" and "weirdo." This is partly because her research is beyond the comprehension of ordinary people, but is also due to the research she did in her first year of high school.

Mind-coupled CHARMs

One of Moyu's major goals in CHARM development is the creation and practical implementation of "Mind-coupled CHARMs", also known as fourth-generation CHARMs. These advanced CHARMs connect directly to the user's brainwaves. However, this type of CHARM causes significant damage to the brain, with a high risk of rendering the user incapacitated if mishandled, posing many obstacles for battlefield testing.

At Yurigaoka, Arsenals follow an unspoken rule: "The CHARM you develop must be tested in actual combat by yourself first." Moyu is no exception, always conducting the test operations herself. The "Mind-coupled CHARM" was still in the experimental stage, and although Lilies like Hasebe Touka and Banshoya Ena have attempted its deployment in battle, but it has yet to reach completion.

Currently, the GC-17 Vinst Lilie, owned by Shiba Tomoshibi, is considered Moyu’s greatest masterpiece. However, it is so specialized that no other Lily can properly use it.

Legion Hronesnæsse

Around the time Moyu was dispatched to Ludvico Private Girls' Seminary by the Inter-Garden Conduct Goard to customize the CHARM Dainsleif Carbine and design new enhancements for it, Odaiba Girls' School, one of Tokyo's prestigious "Tokyo's Three Greats", was seeing the establishment of its first independent legion.

Odaiba was best known for its most powerful top legion, Legion Heorot Saints, but the newly formed Legion Hronesnaesse led by the Funada sisters was a patchwork unit gathered mostly due to hype. During their mission in Shimokitazawa, Funada Kiito realized the importance of "unity and coordination" and decided to develop customized CHARMs suited to each unique team member. Seeking advice, Kiito consulted Nagasawa Yuki, and Yuki introduced her to Moyu, who was in Tokyo at the time.

From then on, Moyu began developing and customizing a series of unique CHARMs for the members of Hronesnæsse.
