Kishimoto Lucia Raimu

From Assault Lily Wiki

Kishimoto Lucia Raimu (岸本・ルチア・来夢) is a first-year Lily who attends Ludvico Private Girls' Academy. She is a member of Legion Ironside, and a former member of the Garden's Top Legion, the Temple Legion. She is the Schwester of Fukuyama Jeanne Sachie, the childhood friend of Amamiya Sophia Seren, and the younger sister of Kishimoto Maria Mirai. Raimu is one of the main protagonists of the Ludvico series of stage plays.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Raimu is a notably cheerful and friendly Lily, described as having a "talent" for drawing the fondness of those around her[1]. While still cordial and polite, she'll often approach others unhesitatingly, very quickly closing the distance between herself and her peers even when meeting for the first time, as exemplified when meeting Narumi Clara Yuko, whom Raimu promptly took to calling "Yuko-chan" even before introducing herself.

Due to her lack of experience as a Lily, Raimu does not show any restraint in asking very basic questions, even when it earns her the ridicule of others. A hard worker, she is very conscious of her lacking combat capabilities, and though she is frustrated at her lack of progress in training, she remains optimistic and is usually eager to continue practicing, be it with her fellow first-years or even by herself, as she aspires to become a Lily of the same caliber as her Legion mates.

Raimu equally admires and is proud of her childhood friend, Seren, and will even sometimes brag about her prowess in combat in Seren's stead. While aware of the gap in their abilities, Raimu's desire to become stronger comes not only out of aspiration for Seren's level of skill, but also out of genuine care for her friend. As Seren had always been the one to take care of her growing up, Raimu wishes to become someone reliable enough for Seren to rely on and share her burdens with as well.

Likewise, Raimu also greatly admired her older sister, Mirai, and it was this fondness for her that inspired Raimu to become a Lily, stating that she wanted to "become a Lily just like her". Raimu and Mirai shared their father's dreams of returning the world to being abundant with life, as it once was before the emergence of the Huge. Because of this, after Mirai passed away, Raimu was determined to continue on her sister's footsteps, and as such, she continuously attempted to mimic Mirai's fighting style, wishing to fulfill the promise she had made to her sister. Eventually, Raimu came to learn of the struggles Mirai faced as a Lily, and upon being faced with her own burdens and choices when walking the same path, Raimu realized she needed to find her own identity as a Lily. While still maintaining reverence for Mirai, Raimu now strives to honor her memory and carry her legacy forward.

Raimu shares a special relationship with her Schwester, Sachie, with both of them finding comfort in each other in the wake of Mirai's death, and conversely, highlighting their own shortcomings by being with each other. Raimu admires Sachie's excellence and discipline in combat, while simultaneously finding motivation and support in the older Lily's kindness. As it is with Seren, Raimu also wishes to become a stronger Lily for Sachie's sake, as she hopes to become a Schwester she can both be proud of and rely upon.

History[edit | edit source]

Before she was born, Raimu's mother was subjected to live experimentation by GEHENA's Professor Amamiya, Seren's father, who wished to observe the results of implanting unborn fetuses with Huge cells. As a result, both her and Mirai were born as Boosted Lilies, and as such, they attracted the Huge's presence from a very young age. However, because they were born with Huge cells, they are seen by the Huge as one of their own, causing regular Huge to not have the instinct to attack them.

Following the death of Seren's mother at the hands of Professor Amamiya, Seren would often stay in the care of the Kishimoto family, leading her to develop a very strong bond with Raimu and Mirai. At the age of 6, however, Raimu's mother would also be murdered right before her eyes, leading her to awaken her Rare Skill, Charisma. The trauma of this experience would cause her to repress this memory, and subsequently, her Rare Skill once again.

Growing up, Raimu and Mirai would often hear stories from her father, Professor Kishimoto, regarding his research on living creatures. He was said to passionately speak about wishing to return the world the abundance of life it once had, a dream that Mirai came to share. Mirai would later become a Lily of renown, joining the Garden of Ludvico Private Girls' Academy, and integrating their Top Legion, the Temple Legion. This inspired Raimu to become a Lily just like her sister, something that Mirai approved of, remarking how she "looked forward to the day they can fight together."

Schwester's Prayer[edit | edit source]

Shortly after the Odaiba Counteroffensive, Mirai would suddenly desert Ludvico, disappearing shortly after. Raimu and Seren, who were middle-school Lilies at that point, found themselves in one of the battles leading up to the Makuhari Recapture, where they would reunite with Mirai. The older Lily seemed changed, however, telling Raimu that she was "unfit to be a Lily", much to her dismay. During this battle, Mirai, who at that point had undergone another Boosting procedure, would suffer an overflow of Magie due to her Rare Skill, Phase Transcendence, going out of control, eventually causing her to explode right before Raimu and Seren. Once again, this caused Raimu to unleash her Rare Skill, though also repressing the memory of it shortly after.

Following her sister's death, Raimu and Seren enroll into Ludvico, with the former still wishing to follow in Mirai's steps despite the last words she had been given by her. Reportedly, during the entrance exams, she was paralyzed in fear of the mock Huge used for the combat examination, but was still admitted into the Garden because of her high Skiller Value[2], as well as due to GEHENA's influence, as they wished to continue their observations of her. Raimu and Seren befriend classmates Saeki Julia Karen, Hasegawa Gabriella Tsugumi, and Haneda Catalina Mei, and they also meet Narumi Clara Yuko, Nagase Marta Nonoka and Hanaoka Angela Moe, who are awestruck by Seren, but dismiss Raimu for her lack of combat capabilities.

In at least one continuity, Raimu was shown to be one of the Ludvico Lilies present at the Shimokitazawa Expedition, mainly serving as support for the Temple Legion's offensive.

During training, Raimu meets Fukuyama Jeanne Sachie, her sister's former Schwester. She is very hostile towards Raimu, admonishing her for failing to make proper use of the Asterion she inherited from Mirai, and once again telling Raimu that she is "unfit to be a Lily." Raimu learns from Sachie's long time friend, Seto Veronica Ichika, that Sachie has not yet overcome her grief from losing Mirai, and despite Seren's worries, Raimu expresses that she still wants to train under Sachie, remarking how someone whom her sister chose as her Schwester must be a person with a good heart. During this time, Raimu realizes that whenever she attempts to remember Mirai's final moments, she is saddled by strong headaches.

Raimu continues to train with Sachie, wishing to become stronger so that she can become more supportive of Seren's struggles. As she does so, Raimu's admiration for Sachie continues to grow, in spite of Sachie's dismissive behavior. This leads Raimu to eventually express her desire to become Sachie's Schwester. During Ludvico's Easter Festival, where senior Lilies will hide their Medalhas inside easter eggs, giving the chance to the junior that finds it to become their Schwester, Raimu takes to Ludvico's cemetery, Maria's Hill, where she finds Sachie's easter egg, though it is empty.

Before Raimu can return, however, a Cave manifests near her, prompting the Garden to assemble the Temple Legion, to which she is selected for. Raimu reunites with Seren, who gives her Mirai's old Medalha, which she had previously exchanged with Sachie. a Gigant-class appears in the area, and with the Temple Legion assembled, they perform a Neunwelt Tactic, but as they do so, Raimu learns from Matsunaga Brigitta Kayo that the reason Mirai had deserted Ludvico before she died is because she had undergone a Boosting procedure at the hands of GEHENA.

Upon this revelation, Raimu urges Seren to tell her what truly happened to her sister before she died, and Seren reluctantly reveals that Mirai had exploded before the two of them. Though left in shock at this revelation, Raimu is able to take control of the Magisphere, firing it at the Gigant-class Huge as she awakens to the Subskill Invisible One.

In the aftermath of the battle, Sachie finally agrees to take the Schwester's Oath with Raimu, promising that she'll keep the younger Lily safe in Mirai's stead, and telling Raimu she'll train her into becoming the finest Lily she can be. They are interrupted by a Cave, and the pair leave together for battle, as Schwesters, and as members of the Temple Legion.

Schwester's Secret[edit | edit source]

Main article: Assault Lily: Schwester's Secret

While now sharing a strong bond as Schwesters, Raimu and Sachie are still grappling with the revelation that Mirai was a Boosted Lily, turning to each other for comfort as they share their experiences with Mirai with each other. GEHENA's observations of Raimu continue, with the fact that she seems to naturally attract the Huge's presence coming to the attention of Ludvico's Instructors. Meanwhile, Raimu continues to train by herself, determined to properly use the Asterion she inherited from her sister.

During a deployment with the Temple Legion, Raimu is shocked to find Mirai still alive. She follows after her sister with Sachie and Seren, but this prompts Mirai to attack them, appearing completely feral and inhumane. After glimpsing at Sachie's Medalha, Mirai is able to briefly regain her consciousness, and while expressing her happiness that she was able to keep Raimu safe during the battle a year prior, Mirai tells them that she is "no longer herself", and that they should kill her with no hesitation should they encounter her again. Mirai then escapes, leaving Raimu and Sachie in utter dismay.

GEHENA's observations of Raimu continue, however, the high administration's secrecy regarding their intentions towards Raimu cause instructor Izumi Rosa Rina to become disillusioned with their methods. A Cave forms near the Garden, and Raimu is once again selected to form the Temple Legion. While performing the Neunwelt Tactic, the Temple Legion is once again met by Mirai, who is able to incapacitate all the Lilies present. Raimu is told by Kuroki Francisca Yuria that the Huge cells in her body have likely grown unstable, virtually turning Mirai into a Huge.

As the Temple Legion work to restrain Mirai, Sachie and Yuria urge Raimu to shoot Mirai with the Magisphere, as it is the only way to purge her body from the Huge cells. Raimu tearfully takes the shot, and holds Mirai in her arms as in her final moments, she tells Raimu one final time that she'll surely grow to become an outstanding Lily.

GEHENA's actions towards Raimu and Mirai leave Rina disheartened, leading her to abandon the Garden in order to learn more about Raimu and Mirai's true nature, and the reason of GEHENA's interest in them. Meanwhile, Raimu learns from Kayo that her Rare Skill, previously thought to be Shukuchi due to her awakening of Invisible One, is actually the incredibly uncommon Charisma.

Raimu visits Maria's Hill, where she prays for her sister's soul. She is joined by Sachie, and the pair allows themselves to air their grief over Mirai's fate. Sensing that an ever greater battle looms in their horizons, they decide to stand their ground, hoping to one day see Mirai's dreams of a world filled with life once again fulfilled.

White Resistance ~The Promise's Path~[edit | edit source]

After Rina leaves the Garden, Ludvico Instructor Kaido Beatrice Chiharu finds her journal, where she chronicles having discovered that the Boosting experiments conducted on Mirai were apparently done so by her father, Professor Kishimoto. Meanwhile, Sachie's suspicions of the Garden continue to increase, and is suggested by her friend and third year Lily that she, Raimu and Seren desert the Temple Legion and instead form their own, revealing it to be a long held dream of Mirai's.

Though Raimu continued to train under Sachie's guidance, she once again hits a plateau in her skills, with Sachie remarking that she'll become a "Lily only useful for [the Neunwelt's] finishing shots" if this continues, causing her to be very frustrated. Under Tsugumi's guidance, Raimu joins her fellow first years in practicing after classes. As she once again attempts to properly use the Asterion, Raimu learns from Ichika that before Mirai deserted the Garden, she had the CHARM specially remodeled to better fit Raimu's shorter stature. Ichika tells Raimu that she is failing to see progress in her training due to wishing to mimic her sister and her style, and that in order to properly wield the Asterion, she has to begin looking at it not as her sister's CHARM, but her own.

Following an ambush of the Temple Legion's leader, Ichinomiya Michaela Himari, Sachie decides to follow through in creating her own Legion, which Raimu and Seren immediately join. They attempt to invite their fellow first-years, but amidst high tensions among the group, they're unable to recruit any members. While they continue to search for members, Seren is approached by the recently arrived Instructor Makabe Melania Sayoko, who falsely informs her that Professor Kishimoto had murdered her mother after failing to use her for GEHENA's experiments on unborn fetuses, having evaded capture ever since.

Following the emergence of a Cave, both the Temple Legion and Sachie's Legion, titled Ironside, assemble to neutralize it. Seren is nowhere to be found, however, and Raimu decides to look for her. She finds Seren fighting by herself, and when attempting to bring her back to their teammates, Seren angrily tells her off. Suffering a breakdown, Seren begins to attack at random when she is intercepted by Sachie. After the two battle, Seren reveals to the pair what she had been told by Sayoko, but Sachie urges Seren to weigh the Instructor's words against what she experienced herself being by Raimu's side, arguing that even if it is true, it's only more reason for her to take a stand against it like they decided to do.

Coming to her senses, Seren rejoins Ironside, and they return to the battlefield. As they perform their Neunwelt Tactic, Raimu tells Seren that she wants to believe in her father's innocence, recalling the stories that he'd so passionately tell her and Mirai when growing up. After the battle concludes, Seren and Raimu make amends, with the former deciding to also believe in Professor Kishimoto's innocence, and determined to discover the true culprit behind her mother's murder.

White Resistance ~The Blade of Truth~[edit | edit source]

Main article: Assault Lily: White Resistance ~The Blade of Truth~

Due to the desertion of four regular Temple Legion members for the rebel Legion Ironside, tensions have increased within Ludvico. This leads the school's administration to persecute Raimu and Seren, as well as Sachie, preventing them from training as a Legion. In the wake of this, they receive the aid of Instructor Kosaka Anastasia Ryoko, who allows them to meet in secret.

Raimu and Seren approach Sano Matilda Kokoro and her Schwester, Haneda Catalina Mei, in order to help them find more information pertaining to the murder of Seren's mother. They discuss Professor Kishimoto's current whereabouts, and when attempting to remember her mother, Raimu suffers an intense headache. With Kokoro and Mei, as well as Kayo taking to search within the Garden for information, Raimu invites Seren to return to her old family home, hoping to find any useful information within her father's old belongings.

Kokoro, Mei and Kayo are able to learn that Raimu's mother was, in fact, subjected to experiments while pregnant. Meanwhile, seizing the opportunity of having Raimu and Seren isolated, GEHENA ambushes the pair with a Cave. Faced with three Large-class Huge, Raimu and Seren struggle to hold their own, but are eventually rescued by Yuria, with the remaining members of Ironside following soon after.

Raimu returns to Ludvico with her father's journal, which features a detailed observational report of the first 14 years of Raimu's life. Kayo points out how the journal details how Raimu awakened to her Rare Skill at the unusually young age of 6, but Raimu is unable to remember the event that triggered it, suffering headaches whenever she tries to. Through the journal's details, they're able to ascertain that Professor Kishimoto was not responsible for the murder of Seren's mother, but they also notice that, strangely, the very last page of the journal has been ripped off.

Hoping to uncover more information, Raimu and Seren follow Kokoro, Kayo and Mei to Instructor Rina's old room, but they're promptly ambushed by Sayoko, who is eager to learn the contents of Professor Kishimoto's journal. They are rescued by Rina, who hands Seren the last page of the journal, which had previously been in Mirai's possession. Raimu and Seren are able to reunite with Legion Ironside, and they begin a Neunwelt Tactic against a Gigant-class Huge that emerged near Ludvico. Raimu receives the final pass, but before she can take the shot, they're ambushed by Sayoko and Toride Suzanne Reika, who disable the protective barrier surrounding the Garden, allowing the Huge to pour in large numbers, as well as freeing the specimens held as test subjects in GEHENA's annex in the Garden, Ludvico Labs.

The Instructors reveal to Seren that it was her father, Professor Amamiya, who led the experiments with unborn fetuses, using Raimu's mother as his subject after Seren's mother had refused to comply. Enraged at this revelation, Seren attempts to attack the Instructors, but is easily overpowered, and as Seren is about to be killed, Raimu unleashes the full power of her Charisma, leading the instructors to realize that, in order for her power to grow, Raimu must undergo a traumatic experience.

Rina and Ryoko join their students in fighting the Instructors, and after Ryoko mercilessly kills both Sayoko and Reika, she reveals herself to be Professor Amamiya, who had fused his consciousness with her own in order to continue his observations of Raimu. Ryoko tells Raimu of how she was born a Boosted Lily due to the experiments conducted on her mother, and because of it, though she attracts the Huge's presence, she is never attacked by them, as they perceive her to be one of their own. Furthermore, she reveals that the reason she awakened to her Rare Skill at such a young age was due to witnessing her mother's murder, and wishing to trigger Raimu's power to grow further, Ryoko begins attacking the Lilies, as Raimu's Charisma continues to increase.

Rina tells Raimu of how, due to her connection to the Huge, she should be able to form a sympathetic bond with them which should allow her to use them for her advantage, leading Ryoko to surmise that the contents of the last page of Professor Kishimoto's journal pertain to Raimu eventually gaining complete control over the Huge. After Ryoko lethally wounds Seren, the shock causes Raimu to subconsciously command the Gigant-class to attack her. Seren takes the opportunity to hold Ryoko in place, allowing for the Gigant-class to land a direct hit on the two of them, with Himari using the Magisphere to destroy it soon after. While Ryoko still survives, Raimu is furious, believing Seren to have died. Hoping to "put an end to all of this", she takes to fighting Ryoko herself, before being stopped by Sachie, who kills Ryoko in Raimu's stead.

In the aftermath of the battle, Raimu loses her will to continue fighting as a Lily, as she blames herself for the death of her mother, Mirai and Seren, revealing to Sachie that she had hoped to die in the previous battle, so that none of it would go any further. Sachie, and later Yuria, dispute her decision, reminding her of how those were sacrifices made so she could continue moving forward, and that the responsibility of carrying on Mirai's legacy and dreams falls on her shoulders. Encouraged by their words, Raimu decides to continue fighting, and reuniting with Seren, revealed to have survived, she promises to realize the dreams Mirai left them with.

The Fateful Gift[edit | edit source]

Main article: Assault Lily: The Fateful Gift

In the wake of the previous battle, Ludvico suffered severe casualties, with many of its Instructors losing their lives, as well as its facilities being heavily destroyed by the Huge. As such, the Garden completely ceased to function in any official capacity. Following the breakout of the Huge held as test subjects in Ludvico Labs, Raimu and Sachie are shown fighting to curtail their advance together with Yuria and Tsugumi. Unbeknownst to Raimu, another Ludvico Lily, Toda Eulalia Kotohi, keeps close watch of her, reporting her findings to GEHENA.

Upon receiving reports of a Gigant-class in the area, Ironside converges with the Funada Twins, as well as Legion Hervör. While attempting to make their way towards the Gigant-class' location, they are surrounded by Huge, who are able to attack Raimu. Hervör member Sasaki Ran is injured, and when attempting to help her up, the pair experiences an immense surge of Magie as their hands touch, allowing Ran to quickly destroy all the Huge in the area. Raimu learns that, just like her, Ran is never attacked by the Huge despite attracting their presence, and explains to the others how it is a result of her nature as a born Boosted Lily.

The Legions are met with two more Gigant-class Huge, and as they move out to engage them, Kotohi reports the previous occurrence to one Gozen, who appears to revere the powers displayed by Ran and Raimu, referring to them as "Princesses". Though they split into two teams, each of them performing a Neunwelt, only one of the Gigant-class Huge are destroyed, with the other instead absorbing the Magisphere and amplifying its power. The Gigant attempts to shoot Ran and Raimu with the Magisphere, but the pair is shielded by Kotohi, using her Magie Reflector.

Later, when establishing a plan to destroy the final Gigant-class, Raimu volunteers to return to the battlefield, despite Ando Tazusa's worries that it'll lead to her and Ran being attacked again, Raimu insists that she go. The teams leave, aiming to perform a Neunwelt Tactic with sixteen members, which would be made possible by three users of Charisma being present: Raimu, Hitotsuyanagi Riri and Shiba Tomoshibi. When receiving her pass, Riri, inspired by Raimu's determination, attempts to fight by herself, leaving her exhausted. Raimu uses her Charisma to replenish Riri's Magie, telling her of how their power is best used when together with others. Riri then receives the Neunwelt's finishing shot, and successfully destroys the Gigant-class

Lost Memories[edit | edit source]

Main article: Assault Lily: Lost Memories

Despite the continuous efforts of Legion Ironside, as well as the aid of other Gardens of Tokyo, Ludvico remains inoperative, as Huge originating from Ludvico Labs still roam the area. During one of their battles, Raimu and Sachie are approached by Amatsu Marei, who wishes to learn more about Gozen. They are told that the experiments conducted in Ludvico Labs are being continued elsewhere, and Sachie fears that GEHENA is still continuing their observations of Raimu.

Looking back on their previous battle, Raimu worries for Kotohi's safety, as the latter had since departed from Ludvico, and while Marei is dismissive of her due to her ties with GEHENA, Raimu recalls how she had risked her own life to protect her and Ran previously, and wonders if she has a good heart deep down. At the same time, Raimu is still unsure of what caused the surge of Magie she experiences when touching Ran, and Marei hypothesizes it to be a similar occurrence to the Funada Twins' Empathy Phenomenon, brought upon by their similar nature as born Boosted Lilies, coupled with the high compatibility between their Rare Skills.

Later, Raimu, Sachie and Marei are summoned by Tazusa to the Metropolitan Government Office in Shinjuku, in order to aid Team Hitotsuyanagi in retrieving Yuyu, who had decided to join Gozen. There, Raimu reunites with Ran, and they briefly encounter Kotohi, who shows reverence to the pair, and encourages them to leave the area. But while faced with a Gigant-class, Raimu and Ran decide to follow Kotohi into the building, as they wish to know more about their nature as "Princesses".

Making use of their combined power, Ran and Raimu fight Kotohi, who invites the pair to join her in order to learn more about their true nature. The two Lilies attempt to reason with Kotohi, telling her of how being born as Boosted Lilies caused them so much suffering, and that they cannot join her in subjecting Yuyu to the same fate. Their fight continues, and eventually, Tazusa, Shenlin and Yujia succeed in getting through to Kotohi, who, in her clarity, explains to Ran and Raimu that while GEHENA sees them as disposable, she and Gozen see them as their Princesses, as they were born with the power of the Huge, without needing any direct experimentation.

Kotohi leaves to find Gozen, while Ran and Raimu return to the outside, aiding the Lilies there in defeating the Gigant-class, who displayed a self-replicating ability. After the Huge is destroyed, the Funada Twins return to Odaiba, while the remaining Lilies, including Ran and Raimu, return inside the building in order to aid Team Hitotsuyanagi in fighting Gozen.

At the Seeds' Frontier / When the Bugle Blooms[edit | edit source]

Following the revival of Ludvico, Legion Ironside was able to finally acquire official status, allowing them to integrate the multi-Garden survey team tasked with investigating the mysterious nests that appeared in the islands of Izu Oshima, Tokyo. Raimu, Sachie and Seren once again join the Funada Twins and Shiba Tomoshibi, as well as Ueda Imari and Kamigoori Marimo of Irma Girls' School for the Arts' Legion Hakolberand, and Aizawa Kazuha and Matsumura Fuka of Herensuge Girls' Academy's Legions Hervör and Cuélebre.

After encountering a swarm of Huge immediately upon landing, the survey team finds Legion Sanngriðr locked in combat with the Flowers of the End. They join the Yurigaoka Legion in repelling them, but Raimu struggles to fight properly. Once successfully driving the Flowers away, the survey team is joined by Kaede Johan Nouvel and Futagawa Fumi, where they are told by Marimo of the 13 Sisters Project conducted by the Garden of Kuramayama, which sought the creation of a Legion of Princesses. Surmising that the Flowers are remnants of the Lilies who were unable to endure the Boosting experiments, the survey team decide to further investigate the matter, agreeing to rejoin Sanngriðr should they reappear.

Raimu shares her sympathies with Sanngriðr after they identify the leader of the Flowers as their longtime friend Yamaguchi Chihiro, recalling her own encounter with Mirai after she had been revived. Following the disappearance of Hasebe Touka, the survey team agree to search for her while Sanngriðr pursue the Flowers, but while they're able to pinpoint her location with the aid of Nakahara Mary Tomoyo, they are forced to pivot objectives after the appearance of an Irregular Huge that could eventually lead to the formation of a Death Zone.

Arriving deep within the island's undercities, the survey team encounters a protective shield, and with no other choice, they initiate a Neunwelt Tactic to destroy it. While on her turn with the Magisphere, Sachie notices a difference in Raimu's Rare Skill, realizing that Raimu's Charisma had evolved into Laplace. Upon destroying the shield, the teams are faced with a Juggernaut, with Raimu and Tomoshibi utilizing their Rare Skills to purify the surrounding Negative Magie in the area while the survey team performs a second Neunwelt.

However, Raimu and the other Boosted Lilies turn to suddenly attacking the other members of the survey team, influenced by the Juggernaut's Negative Magie restraining device. The non Boosted members of the survey team continue to fight the Juggernaut, while making the Neunwelt's passes and keeping the Boosted Lilies at bay, eventually allowing for Kaede to take the finishing shot, which repels the Juggernaut and freeing the Boosted Lilies from the Negative Magie's influence.

Twilight of the Flowers / The Ringing Depths[edit | edit source]

Main article: Assault Lily New Chapter: Twilight of the Flowers / The Ringing Depths

Following their battle with the Juggernaut, the survey team is informed by Legion Álfheimr of their encounter with the legendary Ultra-class Charybdis, who was accompanied by the humanoid Huge Rusalka. They learn that the Juggernaut had been developed by Ludvico Labs, as well as its abilities to increase its powers every time it fights. As they speak, the four nests mature to completion, establishing a Death Zone in Oshima island. After developing a plan to permanently defeat it, the survey team continues to pursue the Juggernaut, with Raimu and Tomoshibi once again tasked with purifying the Negative Magie from the Death Zone.

The survey team struggles to take down the Juggernaut, and frustrated, Raimu attempts to step into battle, but she is stopped by Seren, who reminds her that she must conserve her power throughout their mission. As their battle continues, Sachie switches her Charlemagne for Raimu's Asterion, using it to unleash the technique Vanishing, sufficiently weakening the Juggernaut and allowing it to be defeated by the Funada Sisters.

Though Sanngriðr succeeds in destroying one of the nests, the Death Zone persists, as a result of Charybdis and Rusalka creating their own nest. Mashima Moyu deduces they should be able to dissipate the Death Zone by separating the pair of Huge from their nest. The Legions are suddenly ambushed by Rusalka, and the survey team joins Sanngriðr in fighting the humanoid Huge. However, both teams are depleted of their Magie, and are unable to create a powerful enough Magisphere, even with the aid of Raimu and Tomoshibi's Laplace.

The Legions are joined by the Flowers, having regained their consciousness. Raimu, Seren and Sachie briefly fight Rusalka while the remaining Lilies continue their Neunwelt, with the Flowers pouring all of their remaining Magie into completing the Magisphere, eventually allowing Chihiro, together with Sanngriðr, to successfully destroy Rusalka.

Toyline[edit | edit source]

Raimu had two action dolls released as part of the Assault Lily toyline. The first, titled: "Assault Lily Side Story No.32: Kishimoto Lucia Raimu", was released on May 31, 2017, and includes 4 swappable faceplates, as well as the Temple Legion jacket. She is accompanied by the CHARM Gungnir Carbine.[3] An updated version of the doll, titled "Assault Lily Side Story: Kishimoto Lucia Raimu 2.0", was released on July 29, 2022, featuring an updated design for Ludvico's uniform, four swappable faceplates, and Legion Ironside's Jacket. The doll is accompanied by Raimu's unique, Lavender Asterion.[4]

Family[edit | edit source]

Raimu's father, Professor Kishimoto was a professor and researcher in GEHENA, specializing in biology. Though implied to still be alive, Raimu remarks that she has not met him since moving to Ludvico's dorms.

Raimu's mother was murdered, presumably by Seren's father, Professor Amamiya. She was one of GEHENA's test subjects in their research on the impact of Huge cells on unborn fetuses.

Raimu's sister, Kishimoto Maria Mirai, was known as the strongest Lily in the history of Ludvico prior to her death, being one of the most renowned Lilies of the Duelist generation.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Raimu's baptismal name, "Lucia", was inspired by Saint Lucia (normally known in English as Saint Lucy.)
    • Saint Lucia was said to have the charism of healing, and this lead to Charisma being chosen as Raimu's Rare Skill[5].
  • Whenever Raimu unleashes the full power of her Charisma, two pairs of white, angel-like wings will often sprout from her back.
    • Interestingly, after the explosion that claimed Mirai's life, Seren described Raimu as "appearing like an angel" when surrounded by the falling particles of Magie.
  • In both Last Bullet and the stage plays, Raimu's Magie is often represented by a vortex of multicolored ribbons.
  • Raimu's likes include soft serve ice cream, fruit parfaits and going to amusement parks.[6]
  • Raimu's dislikes include horror movies and going to haunted houses.[6]
  • Raimu's special skills and hobbies include hair styling and chatting.[6]
  • According to Raimu's special Christmas voiceline in Last Bullet, Raimu believes in Santa Claus.
  • Raimu's second action doll gained notoriety for including a particularly humorous shocked expression as a faceplate. When Raimu was released in Last Bullet, a sticker bearing the doll's expression was made available.
    • Similarly, Raimu is one of the select characters in Last Bullet with unique facial expressions, with hers being the "eyes-strongly-shut" (usually depicted as "> <"), which her first action doll was also notorious for possessing as a faceplate.
  • Raimu's existence as a character predates her presence in the Assault Lily universe. A character named "Kishimoto Raimu" appears in other plays by Ludvico Private Girls' Academy dating back to 2014, where she was performed by Yano Ema (at the time going by Maeda Misato). However, in some of these plays, Raimu differs significantly from her Assault Lily incarnation in appearance and personality.
  • Raimu is the third shortest character with a confirmed height in all of Assault Lily; only Futagawa Fumi and Sasaki Ran are shorter. For several years, until those two characters had their heights confirmed in early 2023, she was the shortest known character.
  • Awatsu Mai, who portrayed Raimu in the original versions of ~The Promise's Path~ and ~The Blade of Truth~, would later go on to portray Raimu's older sister, Mirai, in the revival of the Ludvico stage plays.
